Overview

As a Work Winning / Bid Manager, you lead opportunity pursuit across industrial, commercial, healthcare and heritage sectors for Sir Robert McAlpine. You shape bid strategy, coordinate from early engagement to post-tender activities, and oversee governance and budgets. You build key relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain, and drive improvements to bid processes. Responsibilities

• Lead Work Winning / bid efforts across multiple sectors
• Manage the end-to-end bid process from early engagement to post-tender requirements
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain
• Develop detailed bid programmes and resource plans
• Develop bid budgets and monitor spend during competitions
• Governance compliance at corporate and functional levels
• Produce qualitative bid responses when required and lead bid reviews
• Maintain bid data in the CRM information management system
• Contribute to bid management improvements and company-wide processes

Key requirements

• Experience in Work Winning/Bid Management, especially in private sector bidding
• Ability to respond quickly to changing situations and manage bid governance
• Experience leading bid teams to high-quality, timely outputs
• Degree level or higher in an appropriate Built Environment qualification (ideal)
• Ability to coach, mentor and lead a diverse team
• Strong negotiation, leadership and people-management skills
• Flexible working style across sectors and geographies
• Excellent organizational, planning and written/oral communication skills
