Overview

In this role you will manage and grow high-value NBFI relationships, focusing on Sovereign Entities and MDBs across EMEA, Central Asia, and China. You will leverage the bank’s product suite and cross-border capabilities to drive sustainable growth, while acting as the primary contact and first line of defence for regulatory and due-diligence requirements. The position is client-centric, requires Mandarin fluency, and sits within the NBFI team in London. This is an opportunity to shape cross-border relationship management in a high-impact, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage multi-product relationships with NBFI clients, focusing on Sovereign Entities and MDBs across EMEA and beyond
  • Drive sustainable growth by leveraging global products and cross-border capabilities
  • Originate and onboard new NBFI clients with full regulatory and due diligence compliance
  • Serve as primary client contact and First Line of Defence for regulatory and KYC/AML requirements
  • Coordinate with internal departments and overseas offices to deliver high-quality FI services
  • Utilize credit and proposal-writing skills to manage the full product lifecycle, including onboarding and documentation
  • Prepare reports and perform ad-hoc duties as required
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies in client marketing activities

Key requirements

  • Relevant RM experience in corporate/institutional client management
  • Fluent Mandarin (spoken and written)
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis and processes
  • Knowledge of financial markets and transaction banking products
  • Proven track record, target-driven, highly motivated
  • Experience with AML/KYC/CDD in onboarding, periodic reviews, or remediation projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative with internal partners (Product Managers, Overseas Branches, Credit, Risk, Legal, Compliance)
