Senior Quality Engineer

Overview

As a senior member of the Ballymoney site Quality team, you will drive customer-focused quality across manufacturing. You will lead across departments to uphold high quality standards and support customer satisfaction. You’ll develop and implement the quality strategy, monitor performance, and communicate improvements. This role blends technical leadership with hands-on governance to sustain quality excellence in a global manufacturing context. You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to elevate quality and drive measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the quality management strategy aligned to business standards
• Maintain systems to set and monitor product/activity standards
• Measure performance against standards and act on deviations
• Coordinate communication strategies to raise quality awareness across departments
• Report changes in standards and performance to stakeholders
• Support department performance against targets through appraisal and review
• Liaise with customers and suppliers as needed

Key requirements

• Extensive experience and knowledge of Quality Management Systems
• Experience in manufacturing environments (fabrication, paint, assembly)
• Proven track record in people management and leadership in a global manufacturing setting
• Ability to govern progress to detailed levels and interpret KPIs
• Experience working with suppliers to improve quality
• Problem solving, numerical/statistical ability, strong analytical skills
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and engineering knowledge
• New Product Introduction, coaching/mentoring, and excellent communication skills
• Highest integrity and drive for results
