Overview
In this role you will drive high-quality delivery across the Northumbrian Water region within the Living Water Enterprise, managing either a major project or a portfolio of projects. You will work closely with operational teams, supply chain partners and Enterprise Partners to shape and deliver strategic water infrastructure upgrades. The position offers exposure to design and construction, with a clear impact on safety, efficiency and resilience. This is an opportunity to lead multidisciplinary delivery in a high-impact utility framework.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of multidisciplinary projects including Civils and MEICA and manage project programmes
- Provide whole-life oversight from design through procurement, assembly, commissioning and handover
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Northumbrian Water stakeholders and supply chain
- Ensure safety culture and zero LTI/RIDDOR, with robust risk management
- Maintain commercial focus and challenge delivery scope for efficient solutions
- Ensure framework management plan compliance and reliable project reporting
- Engage stakeholders at strategic and operational levels and manage risk
- Oversee site teams through leadership and development
Key requirements
- Experience managing multidisciplinary projects including Civils and MEICA (preferably in water)
- Strong track record of delivering project programmes
- Knowledge of construction contract law and forms of contract
- Ability to build trusted client and partner relationships
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, document control systems and Primavera
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
