Shift Engineer

Overview

In this role you will join the engineering team to deliver repairs and maintenance across the property, ensuring high standards and a positive guest experience. You will work on multi-disciplinary tasks, from guest rooms to public areas, supporting safety and operational excellence. The position supports the opening of a landmark hotel as part of Olympia’s transformation, offering opportunities to shape service reliability and systems at scale. You will collaborate with colleagues to maintain safe, efficient facilities and contribute to a guest-centric environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the engineering team to complete tasks and repairs across the property
• Perform engineering work in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces while upholding high standards
• Handle general engineering tasks across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire protection, carpentry, and plumbing with safety and quality compliance
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance in plant rooms, guest rooms, and public areas
• Conduct regular property inspections focusing on safety features and equipment condition

Key requirements

• Previous hotel engineering experience is preferred
• Broad technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines
• Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented; able to work independently or in a team
