Professional Services Consultant – UK

Overview

As a Professional Services Consultant, you will deliver on-site and remote security design, deployment, and optimization for Fortinet customers. You’ll work with customers and Fortinet peers to ensure timely, quality services and strong satisfaction. You’ll translate designs into tested, working Fortinet solutions and share knowledge to uplift client staff. This role blends hands-on engineering with clear, structured communication to drive successful security outcomes for large networks.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers during Think and Build phases of a project
• Develop and maintain technical project documents (designs, SOPs, test plans, templates)
• Provision, customize and verify Fortinet configurations per approved design
• Test Fortinet solutions and verify behavior
• Participate in interoperability/integration testing with Fortinet devices
• Recommend and implement Fortinet best practices
• Resolve and/or escalate technical issues in a timely fashion
• Deliver general knowledge transfer to client staff
• Develop and maintain core competency on Fortinet products and technologies

Key requirements

• 7+ years of experience in LAN/WAN/Network Security
• Experience designing and implementing FortiGate solutions or major 3rd party security solutions
• Experience in complex routing and WAN environments with BGP and OSPF
• Experience in MPLS networks (L3 VPN)
• Exposure to MSSP or managed service environments (multi-tenancy, monitoring, reporting)
• Experience in scripting and automation (e.g., ZTP, integration into orchestrator, controllers and dashboards)
• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Positive customer service attitude and strong soft skills
