In this North London role, you lead the technical and design function for a residential developer, stepping up from a senior coordinator to manage the technical team and oversee drawings packages. You collaborate with architectural, commercial, and production colleagues to deliver schemes from inception to completion. You’ll apply expertise in RC and timber frame designs, navigate regulatory requirements, and ensure on-time, high-quality technical deliverables. Responsibilities

• Oversee full working drawings packages
• Coordinate with architectural team to ensure timely deliveries
• Liaise with commercial and production teams throughout development
• Lead the technical and design team and manage cross-disciplinary coordination
• Monitor project programmes and identify critical paths
• Ensure compliance with Building Regs, NHBC Standards, and sustainability goals
• Assess and challenge design information across disciplines
• Communicate with all stakeholders at all levels

Key requirements

• 6+ years of residential developer experience on multiple new build developments from inception to completion
• Strong knowledge of development/technical design process
• Proven experience in detailed design for residential schemes (RC frame and timber frame)
• Ability to interrogate design information across disciplines
• Architectural background; AutoCAD advantageous
• Good understanding of Building Regs, NHBC Standards, and sustainability
• Ability to interpret and negotiate compliance
• Ability to manage people, processes, and tight timelines
• Excellent communication across disciplines and levels
• Degree level education or relevant professional qualification
