Overview
In this role you will lead the Intensive Family Support team to support families with children at risk of neglect and safeguarding concerns. You will work closely with Fieldwork and Risk outside the home colleagues to deliver targeted, evidence-based interventions that empower families and improve outcomes. You will apply established practice models, coordinate with Health and Education, and contribute to service development and safeguarding processes. This is a mission-critical position focused on stabilising families, promoting resilience, and driving positive, sustainable change within a collaborative, cross-agency environment.

Responsibilities
- Supervision of the Early Help Practice Leads
- Case supervision and joint supervision
- Manage referral allocations with Area and ROTH teams
- Set targets with Intensive Family Support early help practice leads
- Build strong links with fieldwork teams, Risk outside the home, Health and Education
- Contribute to the Neglect Strategy and family plans
- Apply working models (e.g., Signs of Safety) to cases
- Provide cover for another Team Manager as needed
- Improve outcomes for children and families
- Attend relevant meetings and plan team activities
- Attend fortnightly compliance meetings and worksite events
- Support service development and stakeholder collaboration as part of a multi-agency approach
Key requirements
- Experience in supervision/management within a safeguarding or family service context
- Experience working with families and children in a safeguarding/early intervention setting
- Knowledge or exposure to Signs of Safety or similar practice models
- Ability to develop and maintain links with partner agencies (Health, Education, voluntary/Private sector)
- Capability to work within a Neglect Strategy and contribute to strategic plans
- Willingness to cover for other team leadership roles as required
