Overview

In Shawbrook’s Structured Finance team, you drive the development and management of SF lending to support profitability and growth. You will partner with Directors to oversee in-life credit processes, ensuring high credit quality and robust risk management. You’ll manage existing clients, monitor portfolios, conduct stress tests and financial analysis, and contribute to strategic initiatives. This role blends deep credit expertise with cross-functional collaboration to deliver value at scale in a fast-paced, purpose-led bank.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in-life management of the Financial Sponsors portfolio and ensure adherence to SF processes and best practices.
  • Execute end-to-end credit processes: prepare submissions, present to credit committee, negotiate terms, and draft legal documentation.
  • Monitor and service portfolios post-deal, including tracking, monthly MI, and risk reporting.
  • Perform client management to develop relationships and deliver added value at multiple levels of client organizations.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Credit, Finance, and other Shawbrook groups to ensure smooth SF output.
  • Mentor junior staff within the Portfolio Management team and support cross-team collaboration.
  • Support regulatory, compliance, and risk management initiatives within Structured Finance.

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in structuring, executing lending transactions and/or portfolio management.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability.
  • Experience with financial models and understanding of financial statements.
  • Knowledge of cash flow lending, credit processes, and risk management.
  • Strong customer service, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Commercial acumen and strategic thinking; ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
