Application Engineer

Overview

In this role you will deliver high-quality technical support across the UK, Nordics, and wider EMEA, spanning pre-sales and post-sales activities. You will work with cross-functional teams to assist customers, prepare quotations, and resolve technical requests, while leveraging your knowledge of measurement technologies. The position offers remote work with travel after ramp-up and a clear path for professional development within HBK. You will contribute to customer success by training and advising on measurement applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide active customer support during both pre-sales and post-sales activities, on-site and remotely
• Provide technical assistance in the preparation of quotations and tenders
• Collaborate with EMEA Sales Support, R&D, Sales, and Product Management
• Qualify and assess technical customer requests together with the Sales Team
• Record, track, and follow up on technical requests using the CRM system
• Coordinate with Sales, R&D, and Product Marketing to deliver timely customer responses
• Support exhibitions, trade shows, and customer events as required

Key requirements

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Knowledge of Electrical Quantities and Electrical Power Testing fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical measurement environments is highly desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good IT skills including MS Office and internet-based applications
• Ability to adapt in a changing business environment
• Fluent English; other European languages are a plus
• Travel availability after training and ramp-up period
