Overview
In this role you will lead design delivery for a portfolio of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will guide multidisciplinary teams to develop safe, sustainable and buildable solutions that meet client needs, programme objectives and regulatory standards. You will influence project outcomes through collaboration with designers, suppliers, construction teams and clients, ensuring robust design governance and effective change control. This is a senior, impact-focused position within a delivery team driving innovation and high-quality outcomes for water services.

Responsibilities
- Leading engineering and design delivery across a portfolio of projects from scope definition to handover
- Ensuring designs meet health and safety, quality, technical, environmental, sustainability and governance requirements
- Collaborating with designers, technical specialists, suppliers, construction teams and clients to deliver project outcomes
- Managing design plans, deliverables, risks, decisions, change control and monthly reporting
- Supporting a culture of open communication, constructive challenge, and continuous improvement
Key requirements
- Extensive multidisciplinary design-management experience
- Engineering degree and Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of construction health and safety, CDM, design assurance and large-scale project delivery
- Experience in the water or wastewater sector (beneficial)
