Quantity Surveyor – Highways

Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor for a specialist highways surfacing company, you will oversee all cost-related aspects of on-site infrastructure projects. You’ll produce quotations, manage cost control, planning, and reporting, and handle orders while coordinating with engineers, project managers, and contractor customers. You’ll report to the Managing Director and liaise with colleagues regularly. This role offers hands-on exposure to highway projects and cross-functional collaboration, with flexibility on level based on experience.

Responsibilities

Key requirements

• excellent numerical and analytical skills
• strong attention to detail and accuracy
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• experience with project management software is a plus
• experience in the highways industry is highly desirable
• RICS qualification preferable but not required
• level negotiable depending on experience
