Chief Financial Officer

Overview

As CFO for the UK business of a premium consumer brand, you will partner with the CEO to shape growth strategy and capital allocation. You’ll oversee planning, forecasting, governance and treasury, ensuring robust controls while driving profitability. You’ll influence commercial decisions, lead a high‑performing finance team, and collaborate with international finance leadership to support omnichannel growth. This role offers impact at scale in a profitable, international group, with a focus on value creation and sustainable expansion.

Responsibilities

• Strategic partnership with CEO and executive team to shape growth and value creation
• Oversee UK financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management
• Drive commercial decision making through analysis and business partnering
• Evaluate investments, growth initiatives and capital allocation decisions
• Maintain controls, governance, regulatory compliance, and statutory reporting
• Lead cash flow, working capital and funding activities
• Support commercial negotiations with financial and legal input
• Manage external stakeholders (auditors, banks, regulators) and govern corporate processes
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance leadership team
• Collaborate with global finance leadership on international projects

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven CFO/Finance Director or senior finance leadership in 100m-200m+ turnover environment
• Track record of revenue growth and profit improvement
• Strong commercial finance capability across planning, reporting, governance and cash management
• Experience in branded consumer, retail, luxury or similar sectors
• Understanding of wholesale/trade-based models and retailer relationships
• Experience partnering with CEOs to shape strategy and investments
• Exceptional stakeholder management and leadership of large finance teams
