Overview

As Commercial Finance Manager, you will drive financial insight for revenue planning and commercial decision-making across the business. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders to support tender activity, pricing and strategic projects, translating complex data into actionable insights. You’ll own top-end P&L reporting and monitor performance across markets, contributing to growth and profitability in an international context. This role blends hands-on financial analysis with cross-functional collaboration to enable informed decisions and value creation.

Responsibilities

  • Own revenue budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with commercial and operations teams
  • Provide financial analysis and modelling for new opportunities and tenders
  • Support tender responses by assessing revenue, margin, costs and commercial assumptions
  • Own top-end P&L reporting and highlight drivers and movements
  • Analyse actuals vs budget/forecast/prior year to identify opportunities
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to provide financial insight and challenge
  • Develop financial models and business cases for strategic/commercial decisions
  • Support pricing and commercial negotiations with detailed financial analysis
  • Contribute financial input to projects, initiatives and transformation
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue, margin and profitability
  • Produce management information for senior leadership
  • Coordinate with international teams to understand performance across markets
  • Support wider finance team with budgeting, forecasting and planning
  • Continually improve commercial reporting, processes and models

Key requirements

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience in commercial finance, FP&A or management accounting
  • Experience with revenue budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong understanding of P&L, revenue and margin analysis
  • Excellent financial modelling and Excel skills
  • Experience supporting tenders, bids, pricing or commercial proposals (advantageous)
  • Strong stakeholder management with ability to influence
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear commercial insights
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with attention to detail
  • Experience in international, supply chain/logistics/operational environments (beneficial)
