Project Coordinator

Overview

In this role, you will support the SEND Reform Programme by coordinating governance activities and project work. You’ll ensure papers are prepared and shared on time, organise meetings, and document decisions to drive accountability. You will help maintain project documentation, reports, and Local Offer information, working with cross‑functional teams. This is a hybrid, fixed‑term role with a clear impact on outcomes for children and young people with SEND. You’ll join a mission‑driven PMO shaping a more inclusive SEND system.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate SEND boards and committees; prepare and circulate high‑quality papers on time
• Organise meetings; prepare agendas; take minutes; maintain records of decisions and actions
• Support SEND projects, inspections and monitoring visits; coordinate activities and flag issues
• Produce, format and quality‑assure governance reports, presentations and key documents
• Coordinate partnership communications and maintain accuracy of Suffolk Local Offer information

Key requirements

• Excellent organisational skills; ability to prioritise competing workloads and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication; experience preparing professional documents and presentations
• Accurate minute-taking and record-keeping with strong attention to detail
• Confident in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and quick learner of new systems
• Ability to work independently, use initiative, solve problems and stay calm under changing priorities
• Experience building relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues, senior leaders and external partners
