Tax Underwriter

Overview

This early-career opportunity places you in IDEX’s Tax Liability Insurance practice to support the underwriting of tax risk in transactional deals. You will work with senior underwriters and engage clients, brokers and advisers across the deal lifecycle, helping shape the firm’s tax risk appetite. The role combines practical underwriting with relationship management to accelerate growth in a well-capitalised, expansion-focused platform. You will gain exposure to complex transactions and can develop into a more senior underwriting position as the practice scales.

Responsibilities

• support assessment and underwriting of tax liability insurance risks
• assist in managing broker relationships
• contribute to development of the firm’s tax risk appetite and strategy
• engage with clients, brokers and advisers across the deal lifecycle
• work alongside senior underwriters to learn underwriting best practices

Key requirements

• grounding in the tax insurance market (underwriting, broking or advisory) or a strong foundation in M&A, corporate or international tax from a Big 4 or law firm
• clear interest in moving into the insurance market
