Overview

In this role you will support Boeing Defence UK’s maintenance and modification operations across multiple UK sites and aircraft platforms. You will help maintain and improve maintenance planning, processes, and readiness while enabling effective delivery of current and future work packages. You will collaborate with cross-functional SMEs to standardise MRO processes, assist with proposals and mobilisation, and drive regulatory and safety compliance. This is a fast-moving role offering impact across Chinook, Apache, P-8A, E-7 and related platforms, with opportunities to shape future maintenance capability and process coherence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and update the Maintenance Organisation Exposition and Pt 145 processes
  • Lead process improvement and migration of processes into new business models; create new MRO standards
  • Support integration of the standardized MRO repeatable model across sites and platforms
  • Collaborate with SMEs, focal points, and stakeholders to update maintenance capability and operating processes
  • Conduct change impact assessments for regulatory, policy, and process changes
  • Support proposal, estimation and mobilisation activities for future maintenance work
  • Collect, analyse operational and technical information to support decisions
  • Prepare presentations and documentation for senior leadership
  • Enhance consistency and efficiency in maintenance and support, including new workshop setups
  • Support training planning/delivery and stakeholder communication
  • Assist safety, quality, and compliance activities including investigations
  • Coordinate with on-site teams (Form 4 holders, engineering, planning, quality, supply chain, programme) to support delivery

Key requirements

  • Experience in aircraft maintenance, modification, or MRO support environments
  • Understanding of maintenance planning, technical support, or operational support activities
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work independently with guidance and prioritise work
  • Experience using data to support decisions and improve processes
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in aerospace/defence
  • Ability to work across multiple functions and sites in a changing environment
  • Familiarity with MRO ERP/planning tools (GOLDesp, GOLDMRO, SAP, Oracle Primavera P6) beneficial
  • Relevant qualification in aerospace/engineering or equivalent experience (desirable)
