Overview

In this role, you will plan and manage production schedules to align with demand and capacity, supporting on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and NPI to balance demand with supply and drive improvements. You’ll own cross-functional planning data accuracy in SAP and Kinaxis Maestro, and lead continuous improvement in planning processes with a focus on recovery actions and KPI visibility. This is a hands-on, problem-solving position in a close-knit planning team with a clear impact on business success.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain production plans aligned to demand and growth targets
  • Support delivery of accurate Master Plans
  • Monitor demand vs production and drive mitigation actions for variances
  • Act as site lead for SAP and Kinaxis Maestro data accuracy and visibility
  • Liaise with Customer Liaison to manage escalations and align with divisional priorities
  • Deliver clear KPI reporting on planning performance
  • Act as primary cross-functional contact to align plans with stakeholders
  • Validate and align production plans with key stakeholders to ensure delivery against demand targets
  • Investigate variances and implement corrective actions
  • Identify capacity constraints and propose actions (overtime, extra resources, subcontracting)
  • Integrate NPI requirements into production plans and adhere to timelines
  • Manage planning exceptions and deliver recovery plans
  • Maintain planning data in SAP and Kinaxis Maestro ensuring system integrity
  • Develop and enhance the Eastbourne Master Planning Tool
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and standardise ways of working
  • Support the Planning Manager and wider team with additional planning activities

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience using ERP/planning systems (SAP and/or Kinaxis Maestro)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with planning data
  • Ability to analyse KPI performance (OTD, adherence, output)
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional alignment
  • Clear and concise communicator with strong prioritisation and escalation management
  • Experience in Master Planning and balancing demand vs capacity
