Overview

As Account Director for Population Health, you will drive growth for IQVIA’s COA offerings across EMEA and North America, building strategic partnerships with academia, providers, payers and industry. You will lead the full sales cycle, qualify and close complex opportunities, and expand cross-sell with IQVIA’s broader capabilities. The role emphasizes consultative engagement with senior stakeholders and a data-driven approach to evidence generation. You will shape integrated solutions that advance population health and real-world evidence initiatives for diverse clients.

Responsibilities

  • Drive growth of COA business across EMEA and North America Population Health market
  • Identify, qualify, develop, and close opportunities in RWE studies, patient registries, health systems research, academic collaborations, digital health initiatives, and population health programs
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with academic researchers, pharma/biotech, providers, payers, national systems, digital health companies, and patient advocacy groups
  • Serve as primary client contact for opportunities and accounts
  • Lead full sales cycle from opportunity identification to proposal, negotiation, and contract execution
  • Achieve revenue growth targets and contribute to Population Health sales objectives
  • Identify cross-selling/upselling opportunities across IQVIA offerings (Population Health, Linguistic Validation, Licence Brokerage, etc.)
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to develop compelling client solutions
  • Develop strategic account plans and territory growth strategies for EMEA and North America
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities in Population Health and real-world research
  • Build long-term strategic partnerships to drive repeat business and increase customer lifetime value
  • Coordinate with delivery, operations, and SMEs to ensure smooth transition of sold opportunities
  • Maintain robust sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
  • 5+ years in business development, sales, consulting, or account management within healthcare, life sciences or related industries
  • New business generation and pipeline development
  • Experience with Real-World Evidence, Population Health, Outcomes Research, Registries, Digital Health, or Health Economics
  • Proven track record of achieving/reaching revenue targets
  • Strong consultative selling and strategic account management skills
  • Ability to engage and influence senior executives across multiple stakeholders
  • Proven ability to close multi-stakeholder opportunities
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • High emotional intelligence and adaptability to diverse customer personas
