Overview

In this role you own a broad software procurement portfolio within financial services, driving end-to-end sourcing, negotiations, and contract awards. You will partner with senior stakeholders to shape category strategies, pipelines, and roadmaps, delivering savings and commercial benefits. The position focuses on strategic sourcing in a regulated environment, with opportunities to influence cross-functional teams and implement procurement improvements. This hybrid, UK-based role offers a chance to shape software sourcing at scale and work with senior leadership to achieve measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver category strategies
• Lead complex end-to-end IT sourcing and tender programmes
• Build category pipelines and procurement roadmaps
• Develop sourcing strategies and commercial approaches
• Lead supplier engagement, evaluation and negotiations
• Deliver savings, value and wider commercial benefits
• Partner with and influence senior stakeholders
• Support new procurement systems and processes where required

Key requirements

• Experience in Software category is a must
• End-to-end strategic sourcing and Category Management
• Regulated or highly governed environments
• Comfortable leading tenders independently, managing complex procurement activity and influencing senior stakeholders
