Overview

As Lead Design & Integration Engineer, you will guide marine technology from prototype to scalable production, bridging design, electronics integration, manufacturing, and operations. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure mature, reliable, and deployable solutions for global markets. This role focuses on advancing intelligent maritime sensing, surveillance, and data systems from concept to deployment, while shaping production readiness and governance. You will drive improvement through Design for Manufacture, assembly, and reliability to deliver impactful maritime technology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the transition of products from development to production
  • Ensure designs are manufacturable, reliable, and ready for scale
  • Champion Design for Manufacture, Design for Assembly, and Design for Reliability
  • Serve as interface between engineering, manufacturing, operations, supply chain and product delivery
  • Lead production readiness reviews and first-production build support
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, bills of materials, and production data
  • Drive configuration management, change control, and test validation
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, electrical, systems, software and marine electronics

Key requirements

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience leading complex electro-mechanical or technology-based product development
  • Proven track record transitioning prototypes to full-scale production
  • Strong knowledge of marine electronics and electronics integration
  • Experience collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, operations and supply chain
  • Understanding of systems engineering, PLM, design governance and change control
  • Knowledge of quality systems, continuous improvement and manufacturing readiness
  • Commercial acumen
