Overview

In this senior role, you will lead a varied property litigation caseload within a growing disputes team at a well-regarded Sussex firm. You’ll work closely with an established team lead, gaining immediate responsibility and influence from day one. You’ll handle landlord and tenant disputes, leasehold issues, and related advisory work for commercial and residential clients, with the option to take on leasehold work. The position offers hybrid, Sussex-wide opportunities, clear progression, and high-quality work within a Legal 500 environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied property litigation caseload with independence
• Provide strategic advice to commercial and residential clients
• Draft, negotiate and advise on property-related matters
• Support team growth and share expertise with junior resources
• Handle landlord/tenant disputes, leasehold and service charge issues
• Take on advisory input and align with client objectives
• Possibly undertake leasehold work where experience aligns

Key requirements

• 6+ PQE in Property Litigation
• Ability to run own caseload and advise clients directly
• Strong drafting, negotiation and strategic thinking
