Support Worker – Driver Required – Wimbledon

We are looking for a reliable and engaging Support Worker to provide 1:1 community support to a 20-year-old autistic young man with a PDA profile.

Tuesdays, 10:00am-3:00pm (5 hours per week)

£14.80 – £15.50 per hour (varies by assignment and experience)

About the Role

The successful candidate will support a bright and articulate young man to access the community, build confidence, develop social skills, and work towards greater independence. This is a long-term, ongoing package and consistency is important. Activities may include:

• Planning and enjoying days out in the community
• Supporting social and life skills development
• Encouraging participation in hobbies and interests
• Building confidence and independence
• Driver with access to a car
• Experience supporting autistic young people
• Understanding of, or willingness to learn about, PDA profiles
• Ability to balance encouragement with clear, respectful boundaries
• Reliable and able to commit long term
• Good sense of humour
• Interest in music and community-based activities
• Patient, engaging, and creative approach to support
