Postal Delivery Driver (Postie)

As a Postal Delivery Driver (Postie), you will deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.

What you’ll work on

• Deliver more than just mail: exam results, birthday cards, business orders, and moments that matter. It’s not always easy – but it’s always rewarding
• Build relationships with customers

What you’ll bring

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment

Role details

• Schedule: rotating shift schedule, including some weekends
• Hours: Working hours: 27 hours 30 minutes hours per week – working 5 days in 7 across Monday – Sunday – 08:30/16:00
• Contract: Permanent
• Location: Lytham St Annes
• work Sundays on rota basis
• Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time
• However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract
• As a Postie, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards
