Job Description:

London | Part-Time | Up to £150,000 FTE + bonus

We are working with a fast growing London based alternative investment manager looking to make its first dedicated compliance hire.

The business has ambitious growth plans and is continuing to develop its investment platform, launch new funds and build out its infrastructure. As part of that growth, they are now looking to bring in an experienced compliance professional to work closely with the COO and take ownership of the day to day compliance agenda.

This is a genuinely part time role, structured around 2–3 days per week, with the working days based in the London office. As the business continues to grow, there is also potential for the role to expand further over time.

This is a highly hands on position within a lean, fast moving investment environment. You will need to be comfortable getting into the detail, managing the practical compliance workload yourself and providing pragmatic advice to the wider business.

The role will include

  • Managing the day to day compliance framework

  • FCA reporting, filings and regulatory interaction

  • Compliance monitoring and maintaining the compliance calendar

  • AML, KYC and investor onboarding

  • Supporting new fund launches and regulatory applications

  • Reviewing policies, procedures and financial promotions

  • Supporting the business on AIFMD, MiFID and wider regulatory requirements

  • Working with external compliance advisers, administrators and legal counsel

  • Providing practical compliance advice to the COO, investment team and wider business

What we are looking for

  • Experience within investment management, hedge funds, alternatives or a closely related environment

  • Good working knowledge of FCA regulation

  • Experience across areas such as AIFMD, MiFID, AML and regulatory reporting

  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership

  • Commercial and pragmatic approach to compliance

  • Happy operating in a small, fast moving and growing business

  • Cayman or offshore fund experience would be useful

Working pattern: 2–3 days per week, office based

Salary: Up to £150,000 full time equivalent, pro rated, plus bonus

Future scope: Potential for the role to grow further as the business continues to develop
