Senior Java Backend Developer

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust Java-based applications and microservices.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and new features.
• Integrate applications with databases, APIs, messaging platforms, and third-party services.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance, scalability, availability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and promote adherence to coding standards, development best practices, and software engineering principles.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and continuous improvement of backend systems and development processes.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends in Java and backend development.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Strong expertise in software development and enterprise application delivery.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, including proficiency in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and related technologies.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, data structures, and software engineering principles.
• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable backend applications.
• Experience building and supporting highly available, distributed backend systems in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL, including data modeling and query optimization.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka, event-driven architectures, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools such as Splunk and application tracing/observability tools.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and application performance tuning.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize application performance in production environments.
• Experience in the banking and financial services domain is preferred.
