The Job:

As a Specialist Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide direct, holistic support while collaborating with Social Services and Mental Health professionals.
  • Build trusting relationships and offer guidance during challenging times.
  • Empower young people to manage their tenancies, education, and personal goals.
  • Deliver strength-based interventions that promote independence, development, and wellbeing.

The Person:

  • Experience supporting Looked After Children, homeless individuals or vulnerable adults.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments involving mental health, substance use, young people’s services or independent living support.
  • Experience of supporting young people under 25 who have experienced any of the following; justice system, care system, prison, supported accommodation or institutional care.
  • Fully flexible to cover a shift pattern that includes evenings, weekends and unsocial hours.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence using Microsoft Office.
  • Full current driving licence, or alternative transport arrangements if disability prevents driving.
  • NISCC registration (or willingness to register before employment) and ability to undergo Access NI checks.
  • Must be willing to obtain business insurance for the purposes of work transport.
