Senior Tax Manager

An established accountancy practice is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Tax Senior Manager to join its growing team.

The role offers responsibility for a varied portfolio of HNW individuals, trusts, estates and business owners, alongside exposure to more complex advisory and tax planning work.

The Opportunity

You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of private clients, acting as a trusted adviser and working closely with Partners and Directors on more complex matters.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of HNW and private clients
• Acting as a key point of contact for individuals, trustees and professional advisers
• Overseeing personal tax, trust and estate compliance
• Advising across areas including IHT, CGT, income tax and trusts
• Identifying tax planning and advisory opportunities
• Supporting complex trust, estate and succession planning projects
• Dealing with HMRC correspondence and enquiries where required
• Reviewing work and providing technical guidance to the wider team
• Supporting and developing junior members of the team
• Building strong, long-term client relationships and contributing to the growth of the portfolio

What We’re Looking For

• CTA qualified, or ACA/ACCA qualified with significant personal tax experience
• Strong UK practice background
• Proven experience managing a private client portfolio
• Strong technical knowledge across personal tax, trusts and estates
• Experience working with HNW/UHNW individuals
• Good exposure to IHT, CGT and trust-related matters
• Previous team leadership or mentoring experience
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
• A commercial and proactive approach to client service
