Quality is everyone’s responsibility. You’ll help lead the way.

At MAB, we’re looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our Technology team and help drive quality across a modern microservices-based platform used within the financial services sector.

You’ll play a key role in shaping our approach to test automation, improving test coverage and supporting the delivery of robust, scalable and release-ready solutions. Working closely with Developers, Product Owners and DevOps Engineers, you’ll help embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle and ensure our systems continue to perform at their best.

If you’re passionate about automation, enjoy solving complex problems and thrive in collaborative Agile environments, we’d love to hear from you.

About The Role

As a Senior QA Engineer, you’ll be responsible for driving quality across our technology platforms, with a particular focus on automation and quality engineering.

Working within a cross-functional Agile squad, you’ll lead the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks, support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the delivery of high-quality software. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Engineering, Product and DevOps, helping to ensure quality is considered from the earliest stages of development through to release.

This is an excellent opportunity for an automation-focused QA professional who enjoys taking ownership, influencing best practice and making a meaningful impact

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading automation across your delivery stream, defining and improving test frameworks.
  • Building and maintaining automated test suites covering API, integration and UI testing.
  • Contributing to CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable and repeatable deployments.
  • Partnering with Engineering and DevOps teams to improve test effectiveness and encourage a shift-left approach to quality.
  • Analysing, investigating and clearly communicating defects, risks and testing outcomes.
  • Carrying out targeted manual testing for complex scenarios where required.
  • Using SQL to support data validation, troubleshooting and end-to-end testing activities.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the delivery team to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about quality engineering, enjoys working with modern technologies and is motivated by the opportunity to improve testing practices and delivery outcomes.

You’ll be a strong communicator, comfortable collaborating across technical teams and able to balance attention to detail with a pragmatic approach to delivery.

You’ll Bring

  • Strong experience testing web-based applications.
  • Experience across the software development lifecycle and deployment of commercial web applications.
  • Knowledge of UI automation tools such as Selenium.
  • Experience of API testing using Swagger.
  • Experience using software tools to plan, manage and track testing activities.
  • Previous experience working within an Agile environment.
  • A technical mindset and eagerness to learn.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities.
  • Experience working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant testing qualifications would be advantageous.

Our Values

Success in this role is not only defined by what we deliver, but how we deliver it. Our core behaviours are integral to how we work, collaborate and create impact. They shape daily decisions, interactions and outcomes. These expectations are consistent across our organisation for everyone to embrace and demonstrate in everything we do.

  • Take Ownership
