Reliability Engineer (Food Manufacturing)

Alexander Steele Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading FMCG manufacturing business to recruit a Reliability Engineer for their site in East Kilbride.

This is a key engineering role focused on improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime and driving preventative and proactive maintenance across the site.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive reliability improvements across plant and equipment
• Analyse breakdowns and identify root causes
• Develop and improve preventative maintenance strategies
• Support continuous improvement and engineering projects
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to improve OEE and reduce downtime
• Use maintenance data and CMMS systems to identify trends and opportunities

The ideal candidate:

• Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
• Previous reliability, maintenance or engineering experience within FMCG/manufacturing
• Strong understanding of RCA, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement
• Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
