Our client is a highly regarded and financially secure house builder with an excellent reputation for delivering quality residential developments across Scotland. Due to continued growth and a number of exciting new sites commencing in and around the Glasgow area, they are looking to appoint either a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.

The Role

n

n

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple residential developments from inception through to final account.

n

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n

n
• Preparation of budgets and cost plans

n

• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages

n

• Valuation and payment of subcontractors

n

• Cost reporting and forecasting

n

• Preparation of monthly CVRs

n

• Management of variations and change control

n

• Final account negotiations and settlements

n

• Working closely with site, technical and land teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved

n

• Maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers

n

n

Candidate Requirements

n

n

n
• Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying

n

• Experience working within the housebuilding or residential development sector

n

• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge

n

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

n

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

n

• Ambitious, driven and keen to progress within a growing business

n

n

n

For Senior Quantity Surveyor level, applicants should be able to demonstrate a proven track record of independently managing multiple developments and mentoring junior team members where required.
