We are currently working with a leading London based commercial law firm who are keen to bring on board a commercially minded Finance Manager to support the Finance Director with firmwide financial performance.

They are keen to hire a qualified / part qualified Management Accountant with strong financial analytical and SRA knowledge to work on a mix of projects, take the lead on all cash management and preparation of management accounts whilst liaising with auditors and tax advisors. This is a fairly autonomous position and the incoming Finance Manager will have the opportunity to grow into the role and support the Finance Director with a range or tasks and be able to lead on firmwide projects whilst acting as their ‘Number 2’.

Finance Manager responsibilities include;

n

 

n

    n

  • Manage a Finance team of 4
  • n

  • P&L forecasts, cash forecasts and updates
  • n

  • Statutory financial statements and audit adjustments.
  • n

  • Oversee annual income and costs budgets
  • n

  • Quarterly Financial Covenants tests to the bank
  • n

  • Supporting the COFA with the SRA and Statutory LLP audits
  • n

  • Preparation of Partner drawings schedules and calculating quarterly commission payments
  • n

  • Review of the monthly Balance Sheet & bank reconciliations
  • n

  • Monthly update of Fee Earner and Support staff headcount listings
  • n

  • Managing the Partner’s Capital requirements; liaising with the bank, application for new or increased capital as required.
  • n

  • Finance analysis and valuation of WIP & Aged Debts
  • n

n

Financial Accountant requirements;

n

 

n

    n

  • ACCA/CIMA qualified or part qualified
  • n

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a busy Finance department in a law firm
  • n

  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and SQL
  • n

  • Full SRA, VAT & AML knowledge
  • n

  • Experience of running numerous financial based projects
  • n

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • n
