In this Trust Tax Specialist role, you will support a growing trust and estate administration offering within a respected private client team in Yeovil. You will manage a busy caseload, handle trust taxation tasks, and contribute to client relationships. The position blends tax compliance with trust administration in a collaborative, supportive environment. You will help deliver tax-efficient outcomes for beneficiaries and executors, leveraging your private client experience. Responsibilities
- Administer trusts and distribute assets to beneficiaries as per trust terms
- Prepare tax returns for individuals, trustees and executors
- Produce tax deduction certificates and annual trust accounts
- Manage trust-related tax liabilities and ensure tax-efficient outcomes
- Handle trust registration compliance and online filing for the probate team
- Support the wider Private Client team and contribute to new client relationships
Key requirements
- Experience in trust and estate taxation and preparation of trust accounts
- Strong understanding of trust administration and associated tax obligations
- Ability to manage own caseload with limited supervision
- Accountancy background or broader private client experience (beneficial)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach
- Strong organisational skills, accuracy and deadline awareness
