Our Tier 1 Water Contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of the Otterbourne Water Supply Works Infrastructure Upgrade in Hampshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a major water infrastructure programme, ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable construction delivery. ð Location: Otterbourne, Hampshire (between Southampton & Winchester) ð Type: Site-Based Role (Minimum 4 days per week on site) ð Salary: Circa 75,000 + Car AllowanceReporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading construction delivery teams, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability requirements, while delivering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. ð Key Responsibilities Lead and manage site construction teams across designated projects to deliver works safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Facilitate project construction kick-off meetings and lead regular project health checks. Manage supplier performance across:ðo Safety Time Quality Review and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements), ensuring robustness and compliance. Lead:ð Constructability Reviewsð Project Rehearsals Fit for Assembly Sign-Off Drive innovation and best practice to improve project outcomes and efficiency.

Champion sustainability initiatives including: Zero waste objectivesð Reduction of embodied carbon Ensure contractual and commercial notices are raised promptly and accurately. Work alongside the Lead Construction Manager to plan:ð· Labourð Plantð Materials Foster a positive safety culture where everyone feels empowered to raise concerns. Implement innovative construction techniques while maintaining industry-leading standards.

Collaborate effectively within Joint Venture (JV) environments ð.ð Skills, Experience & QualificationsEssentialð Degree (or equivalent) in a Construction-related disciplineð APMP or equivalent qualificationð Extensive experience delivering large-scale construction programmesð§ Water / Wastewater Treatment industry experienceð Strong project and programme management capability Temporary Works experience and/or relevant qualificationðo Solid understanding of: CDM RegulationsConstruction Health & Safety legislationð Experience managing and monitoring project programmesð Excellent verbal and written communication skillsð Strong relationship-building skills with clients, stakeholders and end usersð Delivery-focused with the ability to set, drive and achieve targetsð Proven ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teamsð1⁄4 Commercial awareness and strong strategic, operational and technical leadership skillsð What's on Offer?ð Salary circa 75,000ð Car Allowanceð Prime site-based location between Southampton and Winchesterð 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays Option to Buy an Additional 5 Days Holidayð Competitive Pension Schemeð¡ Life Assurance Health Insuranceð Private Medical Insurance
