Our client, a specialist organisation is seeking a Group Financial Controller to join its finance team in Poole, Dorset. This permanent role will play a central part in supporting the business as it operates as a standalone entity, with responsibility for group financial reporting, treasury, taxation, governance and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly and annual group financial statementsOversee the consolidation of global financial results, including intercompany eliminationsEnsure compliance with relevant accounting standards, including IFRS and GAAPDevelop and maintain effective financial controls, governance frameworks and risk management processesManage external audits and relationships with auditors, advisers, regulators and financial institutionsOversee global cash management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, debt facilities and working capitalLead foreign exchange risk management, hedging strategies, taxation compliance and transfer pricing activitiesDrive improvements across financial systems, ERP platforms, reporting processes and automationLeadership and Stakeholder Management: Lead, mentor and develop a global finance teamPartner with senior leadership to provide financial insight and strategic guidanceSupport acquisition integration, restructuring and the development of scalable finance processesMonitor regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on the groupIdentify and mitigate financial, treasury and tax risks across the organisationJob Requirements: Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CPA or an equivalent qualificationStrong experience in group financial reporting, consolidation and financial controlsExpertise in treasury management, taxation, cash flow and working capital managementIn-depth understanding of accounting standards and corporate governance requirementsExperience leading and developing finance teamsExcellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skillsStrong stakeholder management and communication abilitiesCommercial acumen, strategic thinking and a high level of attention to detailDesirable Experience: Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, integration or business restructuringKnowledge of major ERP systems, such as SAP or Microsoft DynamicsUnderstanding of financial and regulatory environments across multiple jurisdictionsIf you are a technically strong finance professional seeking an influential Group Financial Controller role within the maritime sector, apply now to join our client's evolving organisation in Poole.
