Overview

In questa role you will design and certify modifications and repairs for aircraft, helicopters and nacelle structures within a Part 21J framework. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant engineering solutions for a global aerospace customer base from Scotland or Ireland, with potential remote work. You will apply CS-23, CS-25, CS-27 and CS-29 requirements and guide designs from concept through to manufacture and delivery. This role offers a pathway toward CVE-level responsibility and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Design and certify modifications and repairs for aircraft, helicopter and engine nacelle structures
  • Operate within a Part 21J Design Organisation framework to ensure compliant engineering solutions
  • Coordinate modification projects from concept through to completion with engineers and support teams
  • Apply EASA CS-23, CS-25, CS-27 and CS-29 requirements
  • Deliver projects to agreed time, cost and quality targets
  • Communicate with internal teams, customers and stakeholders
  • Advance designs toward manufacture and final delivery
  • Contribute to engineering improvements and ongoing development of the design organisation

Key requirements

  • Significant experience as Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineer in a Part 21J environment
  • Strong knowledge of Part 21 and certification processes
  • Understanding of CS-23, CS-25, CS-27 and CS-29
  • Degree-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline
  • Effective project organisation, prioritisation and delivery
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management
  • Understanding of design-to-manufacture transition for aircraft modifications
  • Experience in stress analysis is advantageous
  • Ambition to progress toward CVE approval or existing CVE approval
