Overview
As Strategy Leader for Customer Data Management in the UK & Ireland, you shape the strategy, propositions and investment priorities to unlock value from customer data. You will harmonise market insight, regulatory understanding and commercial aims to drive growth and scalable data solutions. This role sits in Market Planning, collaborating across product, data, technology and commercial teams to translate needs into actionable initiatives. You’ll influence senior stakeholders and lead cross‑functional programs that improve customer outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the UK & Ireland strategy for Customer Data Management, including markets, needs, growth opportunities and competitive positioning
- Leverage customer, market, regulatory and competitor insights to inform strategic choices and investment priorities
- Shape compelling propositions with clear positioning, packaging and commercial models
- Translate customer and market needs into strategic requirements for product, data, technology and operations
- Develop business cases for new/enhanced capabilities balancing short-term opportunities with long‑term growth
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve customer outcomes and scalable data solutions
- Establish meaningful measures of customer value and proposition effectiveness
- Support Sales, Pre-Sales and Marketing with value propositions, market insight and customer evidence
Key requirements
- Significant experience in consumer data, data quality, master data management, identity resolution, data governance or closely related data-driven market
- Strong strategic and commercial judgement, with experience in market strategy, proposition development or product strategy
- Ability to translate complex customer challenges into clear business, data and technology priorities
- Track record of leading cross-functional change in a matrixed organisation
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including engagement with senior leaders and customers
- Excellent analytical skills combining quantitative evidence with customer/market insight
- Ability to explain complex data concepts in clear, commercially relevant language
