Overview
As Senior Project Manager at EMEC you will drive the delivery of major, multi-stream projects within ecology, land management and delivery partnerships. You will lead the Project Management team, oversee commercial performance and tenders, and shape how projects are planned and executed to deliver client value and nature benefits. You will work across our multidisciplinary teams and strategic partners, contributing to EMEC’s growth and strategy. This role offers the chance to lead cross-functional delivery and elevate project management practice in a purpose-driven consultancy.

Responsibilities
- Deliver concurrent projects and major contracts from inception to completion
- Accountable for programme scope, resources, budget, commercial performance, risk, quality and contractual requirements
- Maintain reliable forecasts on resources, revenue, costs and final margin
- Manage scope, change, variations and value for additional work
- Oversee contractual management (including NEC) and risk control
- Lead and develop EMEC’s Project Management team and raise practice standards
- Coordinate delivery across EMEC teams, subcontractors and delivery partners
- Build and maintain key client relationships and identify repeat business opportunities
- Lead major tenders and proposals with cross-functional input
- Plan and mobilise new strategic projects and contracts
- Foster relationships with subcontractors and partners for integrated delivery
- Contribute to SM Team strategy, planning and performance
- Lead strategic improvements to delivery, processes, and client outcomes
- Support quality, environmental, health and safety and risk management across projects
Key requirements
- Significant experience managing complex projects and multiple workstreams
- Proven track record delivering to programme, budget and quality requirements
- Strong commercial awareness including budgeting, forecasting, cost control and profitability
- Experience with contract review and management (NEC) and handling scope, risk and change
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and delivery partners
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills
- Experience leading competitive tenders and proposals
- Experience developing new client relationships or areas of work
- Experience leading and developing people
- Strong planning, organisation, judgement and problem-solving skills
- PM qualification such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 or equivalent professional experience
- Open to candidates from environmental consultancy, infrastructure, engineering, construction or similar sectors
