Executive – Infrastructure Advisory – Edinburgh

Overview

As an Executive in EY-Parthenon’s Infrastructure Advisory, you help clients in the public and private sectors navigate complex infrastructure transactions and strategic financial decisions. You’ll work in small, collaborative teams to deliver evidence-based analyses, business cases, and financing structures. The role supports sustainability goals and public service delivery through robust advisory work. This opportunity offers exposure to government, energy, and transport projects, with coaching and broad development across high-impact engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert financial, commercial and strategic advice to clients on transactions and policy/financial strategy
• Support option appraisals to enable informed decisions
• Build and analyse financial models, financing structures and sensitivity scenarios
• Create business cases spanning strategic, economic, financial and commercial evaluation
• Structure and advise on procurements and assess bids on behalf of sponsors

Key requirements

• Financial data analysis and financial modelling capability
• Commercial and financial acumen
• High-quality report drafting and presentation skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent
• Professional financial qualification (e.g., CA, ACA, CFA, MBA) desirable
• Experience in Government, Energy or Transport sectors desirable
