Overview
In this role you will implement improvements, boost efficiency, and speed up delivery within a multi-disciplinary DevOps team. You will bridge development, QA, IT operations, InfoSec and UCD, driving best-practice DevOps with a customer-focused mindset. You’ll own tooling, automation and cloud-based platforms to ensure reliable, scalable services. The position offers exposure to public-sector work and a culture of agility and flexibility.

Responsibilities
- Extensive experience with DevOps tooling, containers and containerisation
- Communicate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical implementation
- Act as a business SME to understand needs and support the DevOps team
- Stakeholder management to negotiate and influence for effective service delivery
Key requirements
- 5+ Years working as a DevOps Engineer
- Strong knowledge of AWS, CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance
- Experience using Terraform (infrastructure as code), Kubernetes and Helm
- Experience in Java
- Experience with multiple ecosystem databases, architecture and integration
- Experience with monitoring tools for system reliability and performance
- Database management experience with schema change management (Liquibase)
- Knowledge of GitOps principles
- Experience working within the public sector/central government beneficial
