Fabrication Business Director

Overview

In this role you lead the strategic growth and commercial performance of Cementation Skanska’s steel fabrication business in Doncaster. You will drive business development, pre-construction, estimating and tendering, while building senior client relationships and ensuring profitable delivery. You’ll oversee production scheduling, quality, risk, and the full project lifecycle through capable leadership of managers and teams. Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and growth of the Fabrication Business Stream
• Drive business development, pre-construction, estimating and tendering to win profitable work
• Build and maintain client relationships as the senior representative for the stream
• Accountable for commercial performance and overall profitability of the Fabrication Business Stream
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, contract performance and risk management
• Maintain production programme performance and quality standards for fabrication and installation
• Lead, develop and support managers and teams to meet objectives across the project lifecycle

Key requirements

• Proven leadership experience in steel fabrication, manufacturing, engineering or construction
• Commercial and work-winning expertise including contract management and financial accountability
• Extensive knowledge of steel fabrication, structural steelwork, manufacturing processes and installation
• Experience delivering projects from pre-construction through to completion
• Excellent strategic planning, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
