Payroll Advisor

Overview

As Payroll Advisor, you will manage complex, high-volume hospitality payrolls across multiple frequencies within a dynamic payroll team. You’ll ensure compliance with UK legislation, including NMW and auto-enrolment, while supporting multi-site and multi-brand structures. Your work enables clients to stay compliant and confident in payroll deliverables, from data processing to RTI and statutory payments. This role offers meaningful impact by shaping accurate, timely payroll services for hospitality clients in a growing accountancy environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold precision and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple payroll frequencies (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, annual)
• Ensure compliance with National Minimum Wage rules
• Oversee payroll for zero-hours, casual, seasonal, and agency workers
• Process payroll data from rota and time-attendance systems
• Manage RTI submissions, statutory payments, and auto-enrolment for workplace pensions
• Support multi-site and multi-brand payrolls with differing rules and structures
• Advise clients on holiday pay, Working Time Regulations, and statutory entitlements

Key requirements

• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and auto-enrolment
• 2+ years’ payroll processing experience (ideally bureau/client-facing)
• Experience managing multiple complex payrolls
• Excellent accuracy, communication, and organisational skills
• Confident in excel
• Ability to manage a client portfolio effectively
