Overview
As Regional Business Development Manager for APAC, you will drive growth for GXP by identifying opportunities in defence, intelligence and government sectors and expanding strategic partnerships. You’ll manage a robust opportunity pipeline across short to long term horizons and lead deals through qualification, capture, and contract award. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver sustainable revenue, while ensuring compliance and regional alignment. This role offers impact across a critical market, with hybrid work options.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute APAC growth strategies for defence, intelligence and government customers
- Identify and pursue opportunities with target customers; build a strong sales pipeline
- Lead opportunities through qualification, capture, proposal development, negotiation and contract award
- Drive direct sales with government stakeholders and maintain trusted relationships at senior levels
- Establish and manage indirect sales channels including system integrators and partners
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Product Management and other BAE Systems units to achieve outcomes
- Represent GXP at customer engagements, events and conferences
- Contribute to regional planning, forecasting and revenue targets
- Ensure compliance with export, security and business requirements
Key requirements
- 7+ years in BD, sales, capture or account management in Defence, Intelligence or Government sectors
- Proven track record in winning complex technology or software opportunities
- Strong understanding of APAC defence markets and procurement processes
- Experience selling to government, defence and intelligence customers
- Experience managing channel partners and distributors
- Experience managing customer relationships across operational, commercial and executive levels
- Experience responding to RFIs, RFPs and tenders
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently in a geographically dispersed international team
