Overview
In this role, you join Chadwick Nott’s client-focused Military Department in Cardiff to handle claimant-driven military claims. You will work in a collaborative environment, addressing deafness and non-freezing cold injury cases, and supporting a paralegal team. You’ll manage a varied caseload, draft witness statements, and coordinate with counsel to progress litigation. The role offers hybrid working and opportunities to shape complex naval and military disputes within a respected practice.

Responsibilities
- Take initial client enquiries and draft witness evidence
- Manage high volumes of disclosure documents
- Update clients and handle telephone enquiries
- Assist in instructing counsel
- Prepare court documents and detailed schedules of loss
- Assess complex medical conditions and review medical reports
- Review expert reports (acoustic engineering, occupational health, environmental, military training)
- Advise on breach of duty and quantum offers
- Supervise and support the Paralegal team
Key requirements
- 0-3 years PQE (claimant litigation exposure essential)
- Experience managing a caseload independently
- Previous experience with noise-induced hearing loss claims (advantageous but not essential)
