Product Director – Debt Services

Overview

In this role you will define and execute the product strategy for Equifax’s Debt Services domain, guiding the current portfolio and new initiatives to support UK growth. You will lead a Product team, align with the Strategy Playbook and PMHB, and drive value through data-driven product decisions within regulatory constraints. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to shape debt recovery offerings and respond to evolving regulatory and market needs. This is a high-impact, strategic leadership position at the intersection of finance, data, and public-sector collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and implement the product strategy for the Debt Services domain
• Own the product proposition and manage the existing portfolio (e.g., Recoveries Management Services)
• Create product roadmaps and deliver New Product Initiatives (NPI)
• Lead the Product team in ideation, management, and execution per SPB and PMHB
• Collaborate with Director of Strategic Growth to support UK growth strategy

Key requirements

• Expertise in financial services and the public sector
• Strong understanding of credit reference agencies (CRAs), data analytics, and debt management regulations
• Experience in Collections and Recoveries with UK Debt Services sector network
• Subject matter expertise on current and emerging debt collection regulations and vulnerable customer policies
• Experience developing, launching, and managing Debt Services products, especially if leading Collections Strategy, debt platforms, or roles in CRAs, DCAs, or Financial Services
• Solid understanding of FCA regulations (Consumer Duty and CONC) and public sector debt guidelines
• Passion for data and problem-solving
• Experience with cloud-based environments and AI/advanced analytics is advantageous
