Mechanical Supervisor (Gas)

Overview

In this Mechanical Supervisor role, you will oversee gas systems and related equipment across Culham Campus to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operation. You will lead maintenance, inspections, and emergency response in a high-spec technical environment, focusing on safety, records, and regulatory adherence. You will work closely with the facilities team to uphold performance standards for complex heating and gas installations. This is an opportunity to contribute to critical campus infrastructure and safety-driven operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service gas systems and related equipment
• Conduct regular plantroom and plant inspections to optimize performance
• Manage high-temperature hot water (HTHW) systems safely and effectively
• Maintain comprehensive work records, training logs, and maintenance logs
• Ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices
• Coordinate emergency response and issue escalation when needed

Key requirements

• Gas Safe Registration for both commercial and domestic installations (essential)
• Commercial gas qualifications: CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, burner qualifications, BOAS, AP10
• Minimum three years’ commercial boiler experience
• Experience with HTHW systems
• Location: on-site Oxfordshire, GBR
