Commercial Manager – Infrastructure

In this procurement role at Heathrow, you will oversee infrastructure sourcing to secure value for money on contracts for goods, services and works, supporting a 24/7 operation and major capital investments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainability-focused procurement strategies that reduce risk and unlock value. The role focuses on end-to-end contract delivery, from pre- to post-contract management, and supplier partnerships across a global supplier base. Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing for large, complex spend areas to align with business objectives and market strategies
• Drive innovative delivery sourcing, procurement, implementation and contract management with a commercial focus
• Challenge business plans to maximise commercial opportunities while mitigating risk
• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage contracts and supplier relationships for maximum commercial and contractual benefits
• Maintain and optimise supplier management processes including claims management, benefits tracking and continuous improvement targets
• Support sustainability and affordability targets in project delivery and contract execution
• Oversee procurement of infrastructure to deliver value for money across goods, services and works
• Support 24/7 operations through robust procurement planning within capital investment programmes

Key requirements

• Professional qualification (MRICS, CIPS, APM, CEng) or willingness to pursue
• Commercial and contract management experience (pre and post contract)
• Experience in construction-based contract environments, ideally NEC-based contracts
• Demonstrable project delivery to meet affordability targets
• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders/suppliers
