Associate – Digital Assets / Structured Finance & Derivatives

Overview

In this role you support a market-leading digital assets practice within a global structured finance and derivatives team. You’ll handle transactional work and regulatory considerations for cryptoassets, tokenisation, and related projects, collaborating across Bristol and international offices. You will draft and negotiate sophisticated finance documentation, supervise junior colleagues, and help grow the practice through client relationships and BD. This is an opportunity to shape emerging tech transactions at a renowned firm with cross-border exposure.

Responsibilities

• Advise on digital assets transactional mandates building on structured finance or derivatives foundations
• Support regulatory and structuring issues related to cryptoassets and tokenisation
• Draft, review and negotiate structured finance documentation for international clients (banks, asset managers, funds, corporates)
• Collaborate across cross-practice and cross-border teams in Bristol and global offices
• Take responsibility for matters, supervise juniors, and build strong client relationships
• Participate in marketing and business development as the practice grows

Key requirements

• 1-2+ years’ PQE at a leading City firm
• Solid structured finance or derivatives background (transactional or regulatory)
• Genuine interest in digital assets, crypto, tokenisation and emerging technologies
• Strong drafting and analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Proactive, self-starter mindset and ability to shape a developing practice
• Strong client focus and willingness to engage in business development
• Collaborative, commercially driven approach within a diverse and inclusive team
