Overview
In this role you support financial governance and reporting for Aberdeen’s Luxembourg entities from Edinburgh. You will collaborate with Luxembourg teams, Finance Operations, auditors and advisers to deliver statutory accounts and regulatory submissions. You’ll focus on financial integrity, robust controls and insightful reporting while engaging stakeholders across EMEA. The position offers exposure to international entities, IFRS/GAAP, and process improvements that strengthen the finance function. You will influence control improvements and contribute to budgeting and profitability analysis.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly journals and financial reporting packs for Luxembourg entities
- Deliver statutory accounts, regulatory returns and audit support within deadlines
- Review P&L and balance sheet information for financial integrity and controls
- Collaborate with Tax, Finance Operations and external providers on compliance, transfer pricing and risk
- Contribute to budgeting, profitability analysis and process improvement initiatives
- Build relationships across EMEA finance teams and support ad hoc projects and priorities
Key requirements
- Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA or equivalent) with experience in financial control, financial reporting or commercial finance within financial services (essential)
- Strong understanding of IFRS, GAAP and financial reporting principles (essential)
- Excellent analytical skills with advanced Excel and experience with Oracle or similar financial systems (essential)
- Strong communication and presentation skills with stakeholder engagement (essential)
