Overview
In this Bristol-based role, you will join a Public Law & Human Rights team to handle Court of Protection welfare matters. You will manage your own caseload, supervise junior colleagues, and help grow the department’s national reputation. You’ll work directly with vulnerable clients, delivering high-quality advice with empathy and integrity, while collaborating with Partners and senior staff. This is a meaningful, mission-driven opportunity to safeguard clients’ rights and shape outcomes in health, care, and personal welfare decisions.

Responsibilities
- Manage own caseload while supporting Partners and senior colleagues
- Supervise junior team members and contribute to their development
- Build relationships with organisations and community groups to strengthen the client offering and generate new work
- Play an active role in developing the team’s established reputation
- Work directly with vulnerable clients, delivering high quality advice with empathy and integrity
Key requirements
- 0-2 years’ PQE with proven experience managing their own cases
- Enthusiasm for Court of Protection welfare work
- Resilience under pressure and commitment to client care
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
